Samsung announces yet another dual camera phone after the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. Now, it is the Samsung Galaxy C8. Ahead of the launch, the same smartphone as been subjected to several leaks and rumours, which suggested that the phone will come with two cameras at the rear. The smartphone has been launched in China. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer has revealed only specification details of the Galaxy C8. It didn't announce the pricing or availability information as of yet.

The Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with dual camera setup. The primary camera comes with a 13-megapixel sensor which is further paired with an f/1.7 aperture. On the other hand the secondary camera includes a 5-megapixel sensor which comes with an f/1.9 aperture. That's about the rear camera set-up. On the front, the new Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with a 16-megapixel sensor which is further paired with an f/1.9 aperture.

The dual camera of the Galaxy C8 comes with -- Dual Photo mode. This camera mode let users adjust the focus of the picture even after capturing the image.

Apart from the dual cameras, another key highlight of the Galaxy C8 is its facial recognition feature. The smartphone has been announced in two variants. The base variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, on the other hand the second variant of the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage space of both the models of the Samsung Galaxy C8 can be expanded to up to 256GB via a microSD card.

Samsung has just revealed the specification details about the new Galaxy C8 phone. It is yet to reveal the availability information and price of the phone. But, what is pretty apparent is that the 4GB RAM variant of the phone will be costlier than the 3GB RAM. Both the models only differ only on the RAM and storage front. Other specs of the phones remain the same.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with dual SIM support. It sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. Powered by octa-core processor - which is yet to be specified, the Galaxy C8 runs on Android Nougat operating system. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Galaxy C8 also comes with a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in the home button at front, right below the display. The facial recognition technology allows users to unlock the phone with their face. The Galaxy C8 also comes with an always-on display.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with range of options like -- 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro-USB port. The phone also comes with Bixby support.

Samsung has announce the Galaxy C8 in three colour options, which are -- black, gold, and pink. The South Korean smartphone maker hasn't revealed any details about the India launch of the Galaxy C8.

Galaxy Note 8 coming to India
Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in India on September 12. The upcoming phablet succeeds the last year's Galaxy Note 7. Samsung has already announced the Galaxy Note 8 is its home market, and is soon going to go on sale there.  The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 8 with a price of nearly 60,000 in India.

Ahead of the launch, Samsung is asking people who will like to buy the phone to register themselves at a special website that the company has created for the Galaxy Note 8. People who register now will get the early opportunity to buy the phone.
